What goes on.....

Bad Gastein is well known for it's lively apres ski atmosphere, with a variety of bars and clubs, some of which have regular live music. Visit the popular Silver Bullit for live entertainment at its best. If you're feeling lucky there is a casino, one of only six in Austria.There are several good resturants and cafes all serving a variety of traditional Austrian food and authentic food from around the world .There are gift shops, supermarkets, several churches, one dating back to the 11th century, and many other attractions.

   

Bockstein is a little quieter but it boasts several good restaurants including Cafe Haas,The Evianquelle, and Zur Post which is only a few doors away. There are some enjoyable walks around the village and along the river. Take a look at the 16th centry church with it's beautiful painted arched ceilings. There is a traditional Austrian pub, museum and also a quaint little antique and gift shop. 

        

After a long day skiing or hiking why not try one of the popular health spas.The Felsentherme is directly opposite the main gondala station in Bad Gastein and is open all year round. It has a wide selection of indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, jacuzzi and slides. You can also book a relaxing massage to ease your aches and pains.
